Passwords
Upon receiving your new computer, you will need to change the password the first time you log in.
You can find the temporary password on a sheet which is taped to your computer. On the left side, under
"User Information" it will say "*Current PW=". When you start up your machine, you will be asked for this password, and then your new password. It is important to notethat we have set new password requirements. For example, there is an eight-letter minimum, you will be prompted to changeyour password once a year, and you must change to a different password when required to change passwords
A good article relating to the importance of passwords can be found here: http://www.its.caltech.edu/its/help/policies/passwords.shtml
