CPSC 111: Farming Systems

Course Description This course provides a general introduction to the equipment, practices, and technchology commonly used on Midwest farms and the agriculture industry.
Course Objectives At the conclusion of this course students should have a basic understanding of farming operations including tractors, combines, tillage, forage harvesting, grain handling, pesticide application, soil fertility management and precision agriculture.

Grading Grading is based on quizzes and exams as follows:

Quizzes (6-8) 60% of grade
Midterm Exam 20% of grade
Final Exam 20% of grade
